Crow Shields Bailey (CSB) managing partner Kenny Crow, CPA, authored an article about our recent merger experience with McKean and Associates for the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) magazine. As the number of CPA firm combinations continues to increase, our team wanted to offer advice to other firms on how to make similar partnerships successful.

Crow described five merger steps using the analogy of uniting in a marriage of ideals, including leadership buy in, timing, the onboarding process, transition challenges and the long-term benefits of merging.
